Microsoft has said that as of April 12, 2005 you will no longer be able to block SP2 from your machine.....does this mean that it will be downloaded to your machine, but you will have to install the update, or does it download and install automatically?

I had changed permissions as administrator. When the computer was writing these changes, it lost power. Upon restart, it would keep rebooting. I attempted to use the repair feature of the XP PRO install disk but got a message that it could not copy NTLDR nor NTDETECT.COM.
