I did a shields up test of my internet security and discovered that port 80
is wide open. Is this normal? I checked my firewall and it appears that no

I have downloaded XP SP2 from Microsoft CD, and I could not browse the
internet as the return website is not valid. Whatever web page that is access

When I update the Norton Internet security, it finishes the update and then
tells me that the update could not be finished becuase there is a task
scheduling service problem on my computer and it gives an exit code: 080.

I am trying to back up stuff from my laptop to
a bkf file using window's backup utility but i keep on getting the same
error:
"back up file name could not be used.

I foolishly changed my password right before vacation. Of course, I've

Have a trojan/virus.  The thing disabled the windows f/w and
modified/disabled McAfee v/s & f/w plus.  It even "created" a phony display
of my McAfee internet traffic when requested. (ie the graph that monitors

so this is my problem,
My computer will frequently reboot without warning, just a sudden freeze
then a reboot.  Sometimes it will just come to a Freeze and be unresponcive
forcing me to do a manual reset.  If I go into MsConfig and try to turn off

My wife installed Windows Antispyware today.  I was not home at the time so I
only have sketchy info on what she was specifically done.  She ran the
antispyware app & removed (via the antispyware dialog) the files it

I have used Ad-ware, Spybot, CWSchredder, Process Explorer both in safe mode
and regular mode and still it keeps popping back up.  I have gone into
Regedit and deleted it many times but it still keeps getting reloaded........

I am running Windows XP Pro with SP2.  Why can't I , as the administrator,
delete other accounts?. The procedure takes me as far as the 'delete account'
box and then just hangs (doesn't respond).
