I have widows XP Professional and have been using the family account so long
that now when I want to get into administrator...I'm not coming up with the
correct password...it has the blue screen with the user box...thanks

I need a registry hack to diable or remove XP Pro SP2 Firewall after SP2 has
been installed. stopping the service is not an option as it would also remove
connection sharing.I also cannot use group policies.Please help I don't want
to diable the wrong one and screw something up ...

Just changed from domain to workgroup on my laptop. It asked for user
credentials to confirm. Entered local admin as 'Administrator' and its

I have been surfing on the net and I have found that there are software
packages that can defeat MS Office security settings (similar for Adobe PDF
files) so people without the passwords could actually access the files.  This

information bar on WIN XP SP2. look at the link below, apparently it messes
with the Active x settings.
We could do with more info about how to deal with this in relation to our
