I am trying to clean up a lady's computer - I've gone through a whole bunch of tests: online scans, Sysclean, AVG, AdAware, SpyBot, etc. Gotten rid of most infected files, but AVG still shows one that I'm not sure how to get rid of.

For some reason, I am not able to log on with the Administrator account on my computer (returns message indicating restriction on account). When I go to the Computer Management app, there is no Local users and Groups entry in the tree.

I've used the free version of AVG for years. Nowadays AVAST seems to have become the favorite AV. Is it worth switching to AVAST or is the protection essentially equivalent to that afforded by AVG? Can they be used together?

I am a longtime user of AVG free edition. After seeing the evaluations on http://www.av-comparatives.org/seiten/ergebnisse_2005_02.php I decided to download, install, and try the free version of BitDefender because it had a higher detection rate.

I am trying to track event 644 account lock out for a domain. I have set all the auditing on the domain controlers and GP auditing for our XP machines but the events are not being logged to the event log. Does anyone have an idea how I can troubleshoot this.
