It appears that I lost the firewall protection that I had from Windows XP

Recently I decided to play arround with my computer. Much to my family's
disappointment.
I have had a problem with any user account which was not set to admin. it
would load up then exit. (Hard to explain problem)

I have tried to install NIS 2005 on my machine which I upgraded to XP Pro
SP2. First time the system hanged up while installing. Any number of attempts
after that the CD failed to respond to Install button from intro screen.
Supplier has supplied a replacement CD, still no joy.

Is there anyway I can set up mandatory profiles for users?  I would like any
changes made to the desktop to be discarded once he/she logs off.

Last night while Norton was doing it's weekly full system scan, it detected 2
files infected with a Trojan virus, but was unable to quarantine or delete
them.  The files are... C:\Windows\svchost.exe and C:\Documents and
Settings\Courtney\Local Settings\Temporary Internet

When I attempt to open Administrative Tools/Local Security Policy I receive

am running xp-proff sp2 workstation in windows 2003 active directory domain.
I need to install all active directory snap-ins in my workstation to manage

How can i uninstall Windows Messenger. I use MSN Messenger and windows
messenger still opening with my connections even if i choose not to start
with.
