I am unable to run newly installed software on Windows XP Home. When I double
click on the icon after installation nothing happens. Programs installed a

Every time I open Explorer and look at the history, there is a wierd entry
up first on the list identified by an apparently random series of characters.
The only page visited under this entry is "Cannot find server".

I found rk.exe in the folder system 32 in windows. I read that it is a non
microsoft programm but my norton virus scan does not track it as a virus. how
do I get rid of it?? This programm is constantly trying to access to the

I'm running XP Home edition on my laptop.  When I take it to work and use it
on their network, I must log in to their proxy server to use the internet.  
EVERY time I open IE, I must re-enter my server\username and password because
there is no "Save password" check box available.  ...
