We use XP SP1 workstations in an NT4 domain. Using an NT policy file (.POL) the users' home directory ("My Documents") is set to "X:\" which is a mapped network drive on the NT4 PDC (the logon script maps drive X:).

Ikeep getting pop ups called aurora part of the abi network everytime i go on the internet. I have done anti virus scans, adware scans spybot scans . all of them identify unwanted programmes and malicious software but i cannot erase them off my computer. can anybody help

I just ran the Baseline Security Analyzer on my WinXP Pro notebook. It avised me to disable the Guest Account which I did. Unfortunately, when re-analyze the notebook, I still get the Administrative Vulnerability "The Guest account is not diabled on this computer."

Today I started noticing my desktop pc behaving strange. Program windows (not just popups but program windows on my pc like windows explorer) opens by itself. Web browsers open by itself. I'm not sure what's going on.

I am new to Win XP Pro and to test my software apps I created a separate user account. However, some of the programs I need do not show under the Start/Programs menu for the user account. How do I configure these to show & use?
