For the past few weeks, I have not been able to access functions on my
computer with Windows XP Home Edition.  Whe trying to open my User Accounts
folder in the control panel, the folder seems to be empty.  All 4 user
accounts show up when logging in.

My windows firewall has refused to be switched on.  When I double click the
icon in my control panel a prompt comes up saying "Windows firewall settings
cannot be displayed because the associated service is not running. Do you

I got asked a question today about writing a cript that copies a file to the

Sometimes I get an strange message while trying to shut down or reboot.  The

I have a problem with Windows Firewall and FTP. If I disable the firewall
then FTP programs work fine. With it enabled they all fail. I have added
various FTP programs to the exceptions list but it makes no difference. Any
