I have a number of files marked as system files which shouldn't be. jpg's zip's other picture files doc files etc. etc. They were copied from disks of one sort or another. How does this happen? How can I reverse it? When I defrag it leaves

I am using Windows XP Professional (Service pack 2) I restored some files to my C drive. The path being C:\restored\documents and settings\dad. The "dad" folder is empty but I am denied access. What can I do to be able to delete it?

When I go to Control Panel/Security Centre, I get a message tellign that me that Security Centre 'failed to start or was stopped'. I can however check the firewall settings and turn it on or off. How can I make sure that SC starts on startup please?

Is it okay to delete what's in the P3P History folders within the registry? There are references to unwanted sites. I have read in different forums that deleting them is okay and others not. So contradiction has left me none the wiser.

My daughter, god bless her, has managed to hide her User account from the Administrator - ie when I log in as Admin I cannot see her account folder. Wouldn't be much of a problem, but for the fact she has also forgotten how she did it and also the password she set for the account.
