I'm having some trouble remotely administering a few XP Pro workstations. All PCs are on the same subnet, I have full admin rights throughout the domain. XP SP2 Firewall settings have been set via group policy and have been set in accordance with Microsofts recommended SP2

Does anybody know why you can't specify "Ncpa.cpl" and have the "Network Connections" control panel applet hidden by using the policy editor?

I still have a problem with adware, spyware and user accounts. I have a system with several user accounts. I have strange things happenning such as pop ups and strange icons on my desktop and toolbars that should not be there.

Yes, I have tried Ad-Aware SE, and all my anti-spyware versions ar updated. I still can't get rid of it. I bought Spy Sweeper becaus someone told me it will remove specificclick. It did not even detec it! I need help! I hate these pop-ups!

hi friends, do you ever hear about a process named "smss.exe", it's a virus? I've ran CCLeaner and Symantec and nothing had been found but it look to me very strange. I feel the same thing with "wdfmgr.exe", both located in SYSTEM32.
