Before my old harddrive died I ran microsoft sp2 with windows firewall
without any problems.  But now I can't use windows firewall with sp2.
After installing a new hard drive I upgraded my xp home edition which ran on
sp1 to sp2 like I did before.  I had windows firewall for sp1 ...

which I can not display even by telling Windows Explorer to display all

In the past week I have noticed that every time I start my system I am losing
a .5 GB of space on my hard drive. I use Norton for virus protection. I have
done a chkdsk with no avail. Scans show no worms, virus or any other problem.
I have gone from 65 GB to 55 GB in two days.

XP Firewall diabled by GPO, but still asks about blocking programs.23 Aug 2005 00:27 GMT2
I have XP Firewall turned off by Group policy, yet it still pops up and  me
about blocking certain programs.  Mainly I see it on DPMS.EXE  right after
installing Novell.  I go to control panel and check the firewall and it says
it is turned off by GPO.......

I would really like to add a shutdown script to my XP Home system, but I
can't figure out how to do this.  I would settle for a logoff script, but I
can't figure that out either.

I just purchased a new Dell Dimension 9100 (new line for Dell). I loaded

I have reviewed the various posts about reactivation but I can't get into
safe mode.  I have a Dell Inspirion with ZP Home SP2 with all updates.  I
think my problem was when I ran Disk Cleanup and cheked all the boxes.  It
now asks for reactivation.  MS tells me to call Dell who ...

I need help in removing Specificclick adware off of my machine.  Spybot
and Microsoft Anti-Spyware does not detect it.  Has anyone ran into
