I logged on as the local administrator to one of our XP Pro machines to
create a local account (i.e.. not a domain account) .
I add the username and for the domain specify the local machine name, click
next, then select the account type, click next again, and everytime I get

I do not have this problem on any other win xp machine in the network.

i need to modify (by cmd line) the configuration of WXP SP1 firewall
and add a specific application (VNC f.i.). The software is installed in
silent mode by a script with administrators rights, i found the
solution with SP2 (just add the .reg containing concerned application)

I've been running AVG7 on my PC since it came out. Prior to the upgrade, I
ran AVG6.  I successfully ran AVG 6 on my dad's PC. However, I have never
been able to successfully download AVG7 on his PC. I get the following

I'm using XP Home. Normally my pc would boot straight through to the
desktop, but since a few days the login screen comes up each time,
asking me to choose a user (there is only 1, me). Everything works, of
course, but it's still a nuisance for me...

I have just created a Domain on our server (W2003 Standard edition) and
a useraccount.
On one PC(WIN XP PRO) I created the account and when I start up the
machine. But it takes about 3-4 minutes before I can get to work.

All of my scans and checks are coming up clean, but i still get an
application error that says " the instruction at 0x01a82dc0 referenced memory
at 0x01a82dc0. the memory could not be read click on ok to terminate the
program" every time i close internet explorer.  And some scans ...

X and an "Access is denied." message.  No title is given for with the "Access

I have been using Win XP with NTFS and had all my documents encrypted. Now
that I have reinstalled Win XP, I'm not able to accesss my previous
documents. I am also not able to add users for the encrypted files, even
being the administrator.
