I don't understand where my security padlock has gone, it is not in the systray, so how do I know that the site I'm sending and receiving from is a secure site? How do i get this item. I don't recall it being there for a long time.......

Hi.. new to the group so sorry if this has been addressed. I recently activated my windows firewall as Norton's now blocks me from accessing my mail. The firewall seems okay however I have to turn it on every time I boot up my computer.

Whenever I have blackwidow.exe running on this one particular PC, (other machines are fine) then lsass.exe goes to 100% and evrything runs very slowly. Even if the app is just sitting idle, no network, no activity this will happen.

A Norton Anti-Virus 2004 scan of my C: drive yesterday indicated an adware file (Dc1.exe, classifed by Symantec as Download.Adware) was found at location C:/Recyclers/S-1- 5-21-1069572688-3670186237-2541864206-1003/Dc1.exe.

XP Pro SP2 Had only user Administrator. After adding user1 can no longer get to the shares on the XP machine from second machine Win98 and Administrator is now hidden.

My firewall is reporting the above error many times. Any suggestions why it's trying to connect via port 137/udp outbound to one of the AkamiTechnologies caching servers ? Port 137 does seem to be rather unusual to use - ideas ?
