I'm using XP home SP2, after I login at the welcome screen, my screen shows
my desktop wallpaper for less than a second and it auto logged off to the
welcome screen again. Now I can't access my PC.
Is it a virus ? spyware? anybody ecountered this? How do I rectify?

the "shared documents" folder from Y, I can mount it on X and access the
docs.  When I share any other folder from Y, it appears to mount OK on X but

Currently, we use XP sp2 firewall to block/allow access based on IP addresses
(the standard way of doing this.)
Our question is this: is there a way in the XP firewall application to
block/allow access based on domain/DNS? For instance, allow all access coming

When I try to run a scan, my program does very well at first but when it
reaches registry keys it says it has run out of virtual memory.  It works on
that for a while and eventually slows down so much it stops running at all.  
Eventually I see an error message (0xc0000017) ...

My XP Pro computer was recently set up to a domain. I lost the welcome screen
that had several accounts and now must log on with the "log on to windows
box" that asks for user name, password, and log on to.
I have the screen saver set to resume with a password, but now it won't
