i have Panda Platinum7. i like it. just re-installed XP Pro after new mobo. Panda is active, properly configured, but i can't lose the red shield from Windows security. the security site says "no firewall" and " no anti-virus" detected. Any ideas? Please??

When I terminal services is enabled on a XP Pro machine the remote user has to kick the local user off the machine and sends an annoying alert. This doesn't happen on my SBS 2003 server. Can I disable this on the XP Pro workstation?

I have an XP Pro desktop that will allow the local administrator account to access a folder how ever when I log onto the machine as a network administrator I am denied write access to the folder. I have tried to set security permissions and access permissions however

Am trying to find a way to view who is accessing a WinXP Pro box. I know there is a 10 user access limit, but how do I see whos' accessing, and can I disconnect them?

Do I have a firewall built in with Windows XP? If so how do I turn it on and off. Also I have just downloaded AntiVir free antivirus and I keep getting a window opening, (about 3 or 4 a minute) telling me that a file has a Trojan horse in it and what do I want to do with it. ...

initially, i was trying to modify the programs that start when windows starts. as up until now the only way i know to do this is to use msconfig and have all those annoying dialog boxes come up when i start the computer [i know i can disable these boxes, but i feel it necessary ...

This has driven me crazy ever since the beginning of Windows Explorer. Why the heck do copy operations force you to cancel when finding even one "access denied" file??? How can you get Windows to skip that one and continue copying the rest???

I got home tonight and my wife told me my computer was acting strange. She said her My Documents folder was suddenly missing files. She has a limited user account. Restarted PC. Had no choice. Says PC recovered from serious error.
