I am helping set up a library. I would like to customize and then prevent changes to the start menu and the desktop. I am able to do so by typing in the run dialogue box "gpedit.msc" All the options I would like to set are avaliable in this control panel.

I had i virus in my computer that corrupt me a lot of my system files. Now I can't access to "my files" folder because I had a password as the Administrator and it doesn't give access to it. How can I get to reach all the important files I had save in that folder.

In my office, the systems administrator has set our work group to lock out after 30 minutes of idle time. In doing so, this prevents the individual user from using display properties. While not a huge deal, it's frustrating to not be able to change screen resolution, color etc. ...

I can no longer get updates (in XP Home) because it says I need to be an administrator [Error number: 0x8DDD0002] but I am the administrator. This error only occurs when tying to get XP Home updates.

I was looking on Limewire and Avast yelled at me and told me I had a virus. I immediately did what it said to do and uninstalled Limewire and did a search and deleted everything I found. Would someone please look at my HJT log and see if anything is wrong?
