I think my computer was hacked, perhaps by a wireless neighbor or vehicle parked outside. Anyway, I no longer have authority to do just about anything. The administrator had a password added and I don't know it. I'm running XP home and DON'T have a disk.

this is prob a bit basic so sorry! but I think Norton has turned off my SP2 secrity centre service. I think this is stopping me from browsing my local work group, as it also seems to turn off the internet connection sharing etc service. Can someone please tell

I saved all my document into an external HDD because I wanted to reinstall my PC once my PC was installed I tried to open my files which in the external HDD but I couldn’t because all my files where encrypted for security. How can I open my folders?

I have the Administrator account of my home PC. All of my family members use the different accounts to log on to my home PC. I want to make some of my folders cannot be accessed by other people. But, I don't want to make my folders hidden. What should I do?

a couple of strange things started happening recently. First, when I start up the pc my taskbar security centre icon tells me my computer is at risk because automatic updates is switched off (it isn't. I have it set to automatic download, and as far as I'm aware it's working).
