The security center on my computer shows my Firewall is OFF on the general
tab with a comment, "Your network admin is using group policy to control
these settings.".  The option to turn on the Firewall is grayed out -
therefore not available.  The Advanced Tab says the Firewall ...

I figure I should be able to force-quit anything. This particular app is
being lauched by a service and then hangs. I'd like to force-quit it, but
when I try I get the error "access is denied". I am logged on as the admin.
I tried restarting the launcher service. It had no effect.

It keeps asking me to download Macromedia flash player eight.  To either
click install or not install.  I always hit not install but I do not know how
to get rid of it.  As I have ran counter spy and even used trend micro House

the encryption level is set to 0-bit in internet explorer.  i cannot view
https websites.  we applied the fix in microsoft support article 813444.  
this did not resolve the issue.

I am facing the problem of enabling my intranet computers to connect to IIS
on my print server.  Although IIS has been installed, it is not defined in

I've recently noticed a program feeding off my the CPU anywhere from 3 to 15
percent and fluctuation is constant some times makeing lad time which seems
greater than any percentage it is reporting. Have googled the file, yahoo,

I have searched high and low for an answer to this that actually works. I
found nothing on MS' site(s). What I found on other sites was more or less
the same steps to eliminating the error, none of which worked for me :(
In my update log, I find this mess:

I am using XP home edition (came with my Presario) and at start up my
system32 folder has begun auto launching. A friend told me that this could
indicated the my computer has been accessed from the outside. I am using SBC
DSL for my ISP for what that my indicate. Any assistance ...
