In Security Center, the status light shows XP firewall as on but the control button shows it as being off. I need to turn it off as it is blocking my access to Norton LiveUpdate. Please Help.

I want to be able to stop one user accessing the Internet, not all users, on a particular PC. Is there any way to administer this using GPedit.msc (or otherwise) that doesn't affect everyone?

Hi, I have been setting up my machine with two "modes", one for genera use and the other for audio editting. Ive created a hardware profil for the audio, getting rid of un-needed hardware, and also a use account to prevent un-needed services starting to free up memory etc.
