winxp sp2. Files and folders appear to be encrypting randomly with efs. I am not applying the encryption myself. I am able to remove the encrpytion but it is getting very inconvenient and chewing up a lot of cpu cycles. I have not identified a pattern yet. Sometimes it happens ...

hi, i`ve read in a few places that if u restart in safe mode u can set the security of cd drives, but on my xp sp2 mashine the security tab is not showing ( this is only for the cd, for the ntfs disk partition its ok)
