I got a Trojan virus on my PC a week or so ago - eventually got rid of it -
but it has obviously damaged some files now -
1. I can't get Windows Update to work. Takes me to a blank website

When I start my XP based computer I get an unwanted menu down the side of the

For some reason, my Windows XP professional decided to turn on security
updates. So it starts downloading a security update and I rebooted once it
installed it. Now after the Windows logo appears and theblue loading bar

I am using XP Professional. My computer is on a LAN, where some use

I had a few ports open through exceptions created in the Windows
Firewall control panel.  I'm quite sure these were added pre service
pack 2.  I no longer use the program for which these ports were opened
so I deleted them through the Windows Firewall control panel

when my computer is idle for ten minutes i come back and windows says,"this
computer is in use and is locked." Can anyone tell me why  this is happening
and how to correct it?i did not lock it and this just started happening three

Today, out of the blue, my XP Pro computer started posting a message...
after I come back from my screensaver (GPhotoShow which I've used for ages,
and has no password or security)
"This computer is in use and has been locked."
