Does anyone know of a group policy/security setting that limits/stops
winpcap from accessing the NIC's in the client machines?
ie I want to stop winpcap from possibly running on XP machines.
Any help ould be appreciated.

In System Configuration Utility>Startup, there is an item called NvCpl.  I
learned that this is a worm and that I need to address it immediately.

I set my screen saver so that it will ask for a password before resuming back
to my desktop; however, even though it said my screen saver password would be
the same as my log in password, whenever I try it fails, and I need to shut
down and reboot. Is there a reason it's doing ...

Hello, I had Win XP pro on my laptop with a normal password (i remember it).
My laptop broke and so I bought an enclosure for my hard drive so I can
retrieve my files. When I connected the enclosure to another computer and
click on "My Documents" it says "Access denied"

I have used Lavasoft Ad-aware SE personal (version 1.05) in the past and on
many occasions the software has detected adware/spyware in my registry.  
From what i know it is not the best thing to tamper with the registry so was

I recently installed a second hard drive on my computer. When I tried to
make a folder on the drive private, the check box wasn't available. The
drive works fine otherwise, and is formatted to NTFS. Any help would be

I have an XP Pro machine that has three partitions. The C drive is the system
drive with Windows and programs. The other 2 partitions are just for data.
There are 2 users on this computer. The first user is the boss at the office

I need to set up the security on a few local pc's in a network. Some of the
users on the network may not store files on the local pc. Is there a way to
secure the whole pc from storing data on it ?
I'm using a server with SBS 2000, the clients are using Windows XP Pro. Is
