I have windows XP home edition SP2. I'm logged on as an administrator. My automatic update settings are all grayed out. I cannot change them. How can I get this window back into a modifiable state. I don’t think I’m running any group policies being that it’s a home machine.

When a user is not a Local Administrator of the workstation, exactly what rights are taken away? I already know that when a user is not a Local Admin, that they cannot install most software or change permissions etc.
