I'm using Windows XP. I had 512MB RAM installed in my system as 2 slots of 256MB each. Last week i found that there is only 256MB RAM in the system and one slot was missing. Some one have stolen the RAM.

In Win98/ME it was possible to have different startup options depending on what config you wanted. e.g. for games you would load very little to maximise memory etc which would be very different to a normal startup config.
