I have lost my url address bar at the top of my browser page....it is

I don't have it set to require passwords and it doesn't force me to logon
(except at powerup), but I don't like having it going back to the logon

I have a problem  laptop with XP Home edition (SP2). Somedays ago after a
normal reboot the system didn't come up again. The first windows XP loading
just finished and the logon screen didn't appear. The sysyem simply stopped
