just downloaded windows defender and it says the definition files are 20 days
old and when i click "check for updates" it grays itself out and then after a
few seconds comes back for me to click on it without doing anything.

Has anyone any info regarding the 2 MS anti spyware progs? I am currently
runnig MS anti Spyware which does a regular scan but - thank heavens - never
seems to find anything. Is that because it doesn't work, I ask myself!!! Why
have they (MS) brought out a second anti spyware? ...

Anybody else seen this?  The update has failed on five different
machines.  Tried it multiple times, even after using msconfig to disable
all but the services necessary to run Microsoft Update.  Still no go.

I just downloaded the newest updates but one of them failed to install. It
was security update for windows xp(KB913446). Has anyone else had this
