i have a norton and windows firewall in my pc. the problem is that windows
firewall is disabled everytime i reboot my pc. i tried to use norton but i
cannot access the internet. are there any settings i could do to make either

In the Security Centre, I am now getting a message saying that the Security
Center is unavailable and I should close it and reopen or restarts windows.
Now I have tried doing that, but no change. I can still turn my firewall on

Is there a way to selectively remove the older Backup File Names from the
Restore and Manage Media List?  Is there a way to completely wipe this list
without reinstalling a clean version of XP Pro?  Presently my list is very

I have 4 users in a Domain with their own accounts and profiles.  I am a

I have an issue where there are no entries in the security log, and the
latest SecEvent.Evt file is nearly 1 1/2 years old! The other two event logs,
applications and system, are updating normally. I've looked at the reg keys
and they appear ok; any ideas?

Noticed loss of Administrator log-in name 2 days ago, but hadn't done
anything different on computer. Along with Administrator went all
