how can i fix it so all users dont share the same start menu.in other words
if some one adds a program on there desk top, everyone dos`nt get icons on
there desk top or programs menu?

Am having a lot of problems with xp. Have been trying to use dial up to send
fax using fax console. Either the windows ot norton firewall seems to be
constantly overriding and disconnecting  whenever i attempt connection at
17sec. Does anyone have any suggestions

Hi i've been tryingt o get into safe mode by hitting the f8 key on
restarting but thenh it comes up with 4 options none of which say safe
mode are different areas of the computer i believe, as in folppy drive,
hdd etc but none of the 4 take me into safe mode.

We have 4 PCs (XP Home SP2) in a workgroup on a LAN.
I'm trying to allow only the IP addresses of our workgroup
PCs to access our shared files and printers, and to keep out
users in other workgroups that show up in "My Network Places".
