After removing completetly McAffee (annoying reminder pop-ups) and reduced
Spysweeper to only scan once a week otherwise shut off, OneCare and ZoneAlarm
are my loyal gate keepers.
But I noticed that almost at the same time OneCare firewall pop-up informs

I have no WPA WEP choice in my network properties set up. Network
Authentication gives two choices Open or Shared. Data Encryption choices
are either (only) disabled or WEP. No WPA, or shared Key or anything.
Right now I am using WEP and am connected OK.

some ad's will not show up on my computer now. but it will show up on the

My laptop (XP Home, SP2, fully patched) died - cannot even reach BIOS
settings. I removed the hard drive and connected it via USB to a new laptop.
I can read and copy everything EXCEPT:
   C:\Documents and Settings\Dave
