I have a rather large network and seem to have a few issues with users permissions, I have read a few articals mentioning that domain users (i think) should be made a member of the local administrators group on client machines. Is this normal practise?

i just cant find my system32 folder inside c:\windows DIR. to get it, i tried looking inside by command prompt also but it dosnt show up. well, but here, it seems the other way. in Explorer, when normally browsed, it's not there inside windows folder.

I just got a Seagate 160 GB External USB hard drive. It is formated FAT32. Can I use the windows XP utility to backup to it? My data backup would be about 8 GB so I would need to have the backup in several files due to the FAT32 file size limit.

After reinstalling windows xp (prof) one to many time, I decided that I was sick of wasting DVDs to back up my 30+ GB of music. This time I split my RAID into two seperate drives with the intent of using one as the system drive, and the second as a data drive.\

I have a home network with four PCs. Two are Windows XP Home and two are Media Center. One of the Windows XP Home machines (call it "victim") shares a folder and printers. All other machines have been able to print on that printer

I want to create a folder in which all users can add and read files but cannot modify these same files after they have been written to the folder. Iknow this is possible with FTP, but in this case we are just using standard file and print sharing.
