How do I fix this

I have a vendor who wants our users to connect to a Windows 2003 Terminal Server
(outside of our corporate control) in order to run a medical database application.

   Whenever I try and share my C drive under C$ in a windows 2003 domain,
after restarting the share disappears. Can anyone help?

My WinXP Home Edition PC no longer autoupdates.  Why?  The Security Center
is disabled.  Going in to Services and changing in to automatic has no
impact, since it reverts to disabled when the PC is booted.
I have run various AVG & Bitdefender and have found nothing.

Whenever I see a change that is unexpected on the Critical Updates page, I
usually post a question and ask what I should do.
Tonight my husband tried to download Critical Updates and when he got to

Seems like you need a good virus program and many anti-spyware programs to
keep your computer safe.
IE running AVG along with Adware, Microsoft's Windows Defender, and Spybot
Search & Destroy as sometimes one program picks up something the others do

This dialer is found by S&D and removed by it, only to return at each new
boot. It is not found by WinDef, Ad-Aware SE Plus or BT-Yahoo Anti-Spy. Is

Problem is:
Sometimes XP does not load up (locks up)
stalls / freezes when trying to use explorer

I posted about this in the past and still have the same problem.
Using shelxview I have disabled upto everything under the context menu and
still have the same problem. Any other ideas?
