What do I do to change this Gr. Policy? I have no Gr. Policy icon on my Win XP SP2 modem connected Home computer. This used to work right by default with the Firewall icon on the bottom right of my task bar.

I am using WindowsXP Professional on a P4 1.8G system. I recently used EasyCleaner by ToniArts (freeware/no support) to clean up TEMP files and think that may have contributed to my problem of not being able to back-up to my 80Gig external harddrive.

I had to rebuild my XP after a failed Linux install. I have previous encrypted files, which XP doesn't open now. I have tried to import my previous encryption certificate, but it is a p7b extension, and my XP says it needs p12b and won't allow me to import it. What's up? Help.

I can't download McAfee antivirus or firewall. The McAfee site says that the Information Bar is blocking their Active-X Controls. I see no information bar. The instructions for allowing it if you see no information bar do not work.

All MS security updates are installed manually only on my system. Other users are reporting always a lot of problems with Windows Update, so I do not use it at all since the beginning. MBSA 2.0 installed. Only the OS is from MS.
