I want to use "route add ...." from an account that is not a member
of Administrators. But it does not work. I get "Network Access denied".
I have added all privileges that Administrators have to my account
but I still get the error.

Just wondering if anyone can help.
My system appears to have been attacked by something that has turned off all
my pop-up stoppers (so I'm getting several hundred pop-ups per day), it also
stops me from doing a Cntrl/Alt/Delete.

After IE7 install,  my WMP 10's, will not match my licenses to my media.  It
will verify the licenses exists and even where they are located, but when I
try to utilize protected media, it automatically trys to connect to internet
to, 'obtain license'.

Hi. Everytime I log into windows, a new profile is created for me. There is
only one user on this machine (me) and i'm not on a domain. I just log on as
myself....no one else.

We have several computers networked to this one.  This one has Windows XP
home edition SP2, and a satellite internet connection that the other
computers use.  I have had this network working for years like this in the

The file i am having trouble with is called taskdir.exe. How i know
this is that when i start up my computer and connect to the net, i scan
to see what processes are using the connection and taskdir.exe comes
up. I block and terminate it using Windows defender and it ends

I have Windows XP Pro.  I tried installing SP2 through Windows Update.  It
downloads fully, but it won't install.  I get an installation failure with
error code 0x80246008.  I went and did the suggested solutions to no avail.

I just went to Critical Updates today and noticed a Message printed at the
top of the page which read "Get MicroSoft Update Today" - Start Now."
What does this mean? There is no explanation.

I have a GPO linked to a test OU for Windows Firewall.  The GPO enables the
remote administration exception on all networks (*) when the computer detects
