I'm trying to start terminal services and it keeps complaing with 1083 error. That's weird on its own. But the really strange thing i when I look at the dependencies for any service, they are blank. I there any way to get this back to a normal state without reinstalling?

I'm trying to install macromedia shockwave player 10.1 on firefox and when I go through the steps I get a warning saying... You do not have access to make required system config mods. Please rerun the installation from an admins account.

Does anyone knows whats the maximum time you can command the shutdown.exe to wait untill it exes? the number you add at the end of the line have to be in seconds so if you want to wait an hour or a whole day, can you add a huge number like 3600 or 82000? thank you

I upgraded an older computer from Win98 to XPSP2. The name of the workgroup is MSHOME and it is grayed out so I cannot change it. I also cannot share the drives on that machine. Is there something in XP that I have to enable after upgrading??
