I have tried CriticalUpdates.wsf and WindowsUpdates.vbs, having them run when you shutdown a computer and it grabs all the updates, it's just on reboot WDP is erasing it of course. I was wondering how WDP works to download the updates and save changes.

Whilst you can use Group Policy to prevent access to cmd.exe, you can't prevent access to command.com as it is a 16-bit application. Is there any other way to prevent access to command.com? Will deleting command.com render the system unusable?

I am trying to get the default domain group policy to control settings for Windows XP SP2 Firewall. I have followed the procedure at http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/winxppro/deploy/depfwset/wfsp2wgp.mspx but it all stops at point 13.
