I got the 1 min. 'system shutdown' message couple of times today so I ran fixsasser and fixblaster (from symantec), a full virus scan of hard disk using freshly updated McAfee, a full scan using ad-aware and it didn't find anything.

I installed these updates and now find that I have lost password capability in Excel 2000. The previously protected file opens without requesting a password and I am not able to re-establish the password. I tried it on two computers, and also did a "repair" without any help.

well this is the problem. MY COMPUTER IS SENDING RANDOM EMAILS! When I do a virus scan nothing comes up. the only way i can stop it from sending these emails is disconecting the internet, and well, I cant do much then. here is my hijackthis file thing.

Have a pc with XP Pro, have passwords set for admin and one other user. When pc boots, the admin desktop comes up without asking for a password. How do I correct this ?
