can anyone help?
i've been trying to install windows service pack 2 to my home computer but
it keeps coming up with an error message saying that the program it needs to
install sp2 is in use by another application. however every window is closed

4 days ago, while checking email  at a university website, my computer froze.
Windows manager popped up but the computer froze. But something was going on
since the hard drive light was flashing all the time.  If I restart, it goes

What settings do I need to change to download programming from websites. I

I noticed two strange processes when I looked at startup tab via MSCONFIG:
QLNJERD and XFZYXTK -- both are in the WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 folder according to

I need to access files that I have backed up on a TrueCrypt NTFS drive.
The files were backed up from my work computer that disallow any reads

On my home computer I have Admin rights on my WinXP Pro system, but the
Adminstrative Tools folder is empty, and I am denied access to the folders in
the All Users/Documents folder that are created at system install time (e.g.,

When I boot up I am asked for my password, it is accepted, we go to start to
show my desktop, the computer then shows me a logging off box, then saving
settings box and we go back to my orignal enter password screen, at this
point we start over. Please help.
