MMC cannot open the file c:\windows\system32\devmgmt.msc This may be because the file does not exist, is not an MMC console, or was created by a later versionof MMC. This may also be becasuse you do not have suffcient access rights to the file.

My PC died and so I removed disk drive and set it up as external drive to my laptop. When I tried to access data "access denied" dialog appears. I know I had a windows user password installed, could this be the problem? If so how can I overcome this issue?

Hi, (WinXP Prof, NTFS) I have a directory C:\A\B. When I look at the access rights of the folder in the Explorer, I see that one ACE says that it is inherited from C:\A. But if I look at the ACL of C:\A, there is no such entry. How comes?
