Running XP Home on home pc. I have one user with Administrator priveleges. However when i try to logon as Administrator I get a message about restrictions on this account. I have no password on Administrator. Can logon in Safe mode as Administrator.

I think this is a dead end, but here goes just in case. Does anyone know of any tool that is capable of remotely enabling the IPC$/admin$ share of Windows XP SP2? Obviously I know the username and password of an account that has admin priviliages on that pc.

Yes, I can still access it in Safe Mode but how can I get it to appear again as a selection after a normal XP boot process? I hope someone can be of help.

It's a known fact that over 93.7% of computers that are over 30 days old are infected with spyware and adware. Such software is rarely accompanied by an uninstall utility and even when it is it almost always leaves broken Windows Registry errors behind it.

I obviusly havewindowx xp service pack 1, and whenever I try to install the sp2 version I got form microsoft Update, it always cuts the installationand says access denied. This seems weird to me since I am the computer administrator. Please help.
