I am an adult and I have reason to believe my spouse installed some sort of
monitoring software on my computer.  How can I find out for sure?  And is
there a way to remove it?

Running XP Home on home pc. I have one user with Administrator priveleges.
However when i try to logon as Administrator I get a message about
restrictions on this account. I have no password on Administrator. Can logon
in Safe mode as Administrator.

I think this is a dead end, but here goes just in case.
Does anyone know of any tool that is capable of remotely enabling the
IPC$/admin$ share of Windows XP SP2? Obviously I know the username and
password of an account that has admin priviliages on that pc.

Yes, I can still access it in Safe Mode but how can I get it to appear
again as a selection after a normal XP boot process?

I have a used computer.  I found a website that gave me the instructions for
changing the computer name.  Previously, it had a user name and domain name.  
I changed the user name, deleted the domain name, a put in a workgroup name.

I obviusly havewindowx xp service pack 1, and whenever I try to install the
sp2 version I got form microsoft Update, it always cuts the installationand
says access denied.  This seems weird to me since I am the computer

I just installed Windows Server 2003 on a machine that had been
running Windows 2000 Server (clean install, not upgrade).  During
the installation process, I must have inadvertently clicked some
security setting, because I cannot install some software (in this
