I have an unknown infection that I believe is called a "Search Hijacker". I have XP SP2 with all updates and using IE 7.x. I have latest Norton Virus definitions. I have latest Spybot and HijackThis but nothing shows up. Windows validation finds no invalid system files.

I have norton internet security 2005, and it's removing realtime.dll from my coolspeech text-to-voice folder. This also happened at work, and the CT's put it in as an exclusion. I tried putting it as a exclusion at home but it still removes it. I did the following:

Hello all. I recently deleted a limited user account that wasn't being used. When I tried to delete it's folders in Explorer I got a message telling me that one was a system folder and 'would I like to continue' I didn't but would like to know what I should do about this.

I used gpedit.msc to edit some group policies, and disallowed running the mmc.exe. but before I restoring this situation to its default state, suddenly I closed the gpedit.msc and now I can't open it again to change this value. How can I repair this?
