XP Pro SP2. Since installing the last set of Windows updates I get a security warning dialog every time I try to run a program or open a file on a mapped drive. How can I disable all of these warnings and return to the old behavior?

I am admin on a network of about 20 PCs. On shutdown is there any way to enforce automatic turn off the user's monitor? Failing that can I make a popup message appear when they select Shut Down?
