My Windows XP HOME SP2 does not allow me to download ANY files from the outside, e.g. a website link. I have tried setting the security level as low as it goes, and looked at the individual security settings, but it simply does not allow any downloads.

After a massive virus bombardment, particularily also the WinAntiSpyware 2007, I found that not only my Control Panel, but all other so-called administrator rights are gone when I turn on my computer. I got rid of the viruses, but the Control Panel as well as the administrator

I have just moved an XP pro machine from a domain. I did that by changing it to a workgroup and by changing the way users log on to use the Welcome screen, rather than Ctrl-Alt-Del. However, the PC seems to have remembered the old screen saver settings.
