In the notifications taskbar (bottom right), I keep getting a popup headed
"System Alert!" with the yellow triangle. The message says:

S.O.S. Motherboard died and now I cannot access files in my HDD07 Oct 2007 03:39 GMT1
As I pointed out in the subject, my motherboard (or processor) died. I put
my HDD in an external enclosure, however, since my data was in marked as a
private folder, now I cannot access these files.
Does anyone have an idea on how to get to my files?

Hello! Friends
I encounter this problem today. When I boot my PC, I keep on receiving this
security warning from my anti-virus software:  Malware Win32 Trojan_gen
exists in the following path:

Security updates seem to download but when finished downloading (0) files are
indicated and non installed. The same is true at shut down. This problem is
going on for 2 month now.
Anyone has an answer?

I went to Critical Updates page and did not see any Critical Updates as yet.
I was told they would be issued Wednesday, Oct. 3rd. Or was that the wrong
information?
I also noticed that IE7 was no longer listed as a Critical Update.

Had to reload XP Professional (long story).   Reloaded XP Professional but
now when I try to go out and get updates, I get error: 0x8007043b.  When I
