For the past month I have been receiving this error:
Service Control Manager- cis 1284 service failed/Cannot
find file. It happens once in a while: but if I bring up
event logs, its there regardless of error message. When I

When installing this patch I receive the following errors in the error log
although it does appear in add/remove programs.  I get this on serveral XP

Is there another way to uninstall this patch other then add/remove programs?  
The patch does not fully install on several of our xp sp2 workstations and I
do not have the option to uninstall in add/remove.
