My new laptop with XP installed got hacked by a hacker installing/
creating another admin account. I tried deleting it through the
original admin account but no success.
Each time I boot up, a script runs and the new admin user

how and why could it be that my pc just keep updating the same updates they
are KB933579, KB110806, KB929300 and KB936181 either in automatic and windows
update? what seems to be the problem with it?

The PC would start booting up and right after the user would enter his
UserID/PW it would go to a BSOD stating some sys32 dll couldn't be found or
was corupt. I couldn't get to control panel to do a 'repair' so I did a
reinstall.

I recently removed McAfee from my system and now I have no firewall and I am
unable to reactivate it. Can anyone tell me the procedure to reactivate the
firewall in Windows XP Pro.

I have a user account on my winxp system, with my logging as home with a
password.  If I install a program, is there to set it so that the guest won't
be able to see certain programs installed?

I have been doing some searches to see the recommended approach to the group
policy options for enabling a screensaver password via group policy for users
who forget to lock their desktops.  It appears i have to choose the
executable which is good for security but, not so good ...

I am the administrator on my  windows XP (media edition) computer and my son
has his own account as a user. He is somehow changing his account to also be
an administrator. From there he is able to load a web browser that does not
have parental controls and, well you know the rest ...

I have been attacked and am trying to clean up things. Now on the desktop
there is an icon for MsDos called 'sisetup.exe'. Is this a threat?

We have a couple domain accounts that are members of the local
Administrators group on all our workstations.  (Our domain users are
Power Users.)  We use these accounts to log in and install programs
and things that Power Users cannot.  A while ago one of the IT created

What i want to do is take the thin client down and replace with a
desktop
but when i log into the desktop it pulls the thin clients profile i
checked

... might I get/purchase the "boxed/disk" version of this program ?  (If this

I have Norton Internet Security and have that firewall turned on. Through the
Control Panel I have turned Windows Firewall OFF, but each time I reboot the
system, Windows Firewall is reset to ON. Is there a way to keep Windows
Firewall from being reset to ON?
