I have just bought 2nd hand notebook of HP Compaq Presario with original

I have w2k3 r2 and windows xp sp 2 in a domain envi.
I want to set a policy to restrict users to save to the local hard disk
unless they are admins. How would i go about setting that up in group policy
mgmt console?

In a senior moment I changed the Permissions on a directory folder on my peer
to peer network data drive to deny access to "Everyone".  Is it possible to

I use WinXP Pro SP3 on a 3 year old Dell Laptop
Once I tried to password protect one folder. But it ended up password
protecting the complete bootup sequence.  I removed the password, but now
when booting up I get the password screen.

I am setting up a computer which needs a login prompt on boot for security
purposes, but needs to keep running all day with minimal power requirements
