My daughter has brought her ancient laptop out of mothballs and wanted to use
it, but can't remember the password. OS is Windows 2000 professional. Once
she boots up, even in safe mode, she has to put in a password before the
computer fully boots up.

I just downloaded several Critical Updates for my WinXP (sp3) and when I
looked at the log I noticed a new line was included.
In the past it read:

I have attempted to back up my 62 GB "My Documents" folder using the Windows
Backup Utility, but the resulting Backup.bkf file created is less than 19 GB
in size, and includes the System State directory. Is this the logical
