Hello , I have noticed few of these items status' are either "Permitted "
-or- "Blocked" in the Personal Firewall Control Program settings of Norton :

We use 802.1x authentication with Cisco ACS mapped on active directory 2003
server.  We configure all equipements but in xp clients on the LAN properties
the option "Authenticate as computer when computer information is available."
doesn't appear.

When i try to  unzip a folder  I got the message that the folder is blocked
to unzip the folder goto properties and unblock the folder, which I did.  The
folder still  will not unzip.  I go back to properties and the unblock button
is gone.  I'm running XP Pro sp3

I would like to know if there is a embedded way to force a password ask
before launching an application (typically Internet Explorer)?
We have tried using the content advisor but it asks the password so often it

My friend got a laptop from a friend and when he turned the computer on it
asked for a user name and password, well, he doesn't know it.  How can he get
past this or how can he erase the hard drive without having this information.

This is a 5 year old computer that has had new memory and a new hard drive

I was helping my Grandma clean up her computer.  One thing that was bothering
her was that after start up her computer (XP operating system) would ask her
to sign in with a password.  All she had to do was hit cancel and it would
take it passed that screen.  I couldn't remember ...

User is on laptop and can't login, connected to the network or disconnected.
Not a password issue. I manually assigned a password.

I just started getting the backups to the same folder as the original.  I
don't recall selecting this feature and wonder if someone can suggest a
solution to this, or at least explain where to configure this option.

Hi I am on a laptop running XP SP3, and have recently been getting repeated
Security Alerts from my Zone Alarm firewall.  I was at the time traveling
and thought that the insecure hotel networks might have been the problem,
but I am now back home - using my home wireless network ...
