When I try to open then I get a message that says: Windows cannot open this file. To open this file windows needs to know what created it. Can I do anything to sort this out or should I take the computer to be fixed?

Hello, I am researching on using winxp firewall. My question is that when a user is connected to the domain and the xp fireall domain profile is in use. (Our case the firewal domain profile disables the firewall) Will it also disable the firewall on all other nics on a laptop??

how to get rid of old user name from log on screen? the user account has been deleted and you can find it in control panel/user accounts; the computer name has been changed; on a welcome screen you do not see this account neither but when you log on in to win xp without welcome

Zone Alarm version 6.5 dose not work since July 15 because a root certificate cannot be validated (outdated ?). The solution proposed (upgrade to ZA version 7 or 8) is impractical because thse vesroins do not work with Windows 2000 and I must use this OS for a dedicated software ...

I have run a scan using McAfee ver. 8.1 through Comcast with Win XP spk 3. I keep getting all sorts of pop ups when online. Scan shows "generic PUP.z!o" that can not be removed or deleted this is very annoying. Any help is appricaited in advance.
