On boot up I now get black screen and in top left corner
it says  "Invalid Boot.ini File  Booting from C:\Windows
How can I fix this so it does not come up. Computer goes

I need to physically move my HD (with XP home)to a new
PC. Tried it and it while it boots to POST and I can
access BIOS to verify HD has been identified in new

With a brand new hard disk in a computer, I have the BIOS
set to boot from the CD.
The CD starts the boot and gets through the part where it
is loading kernel.dll and then I get an error message.

I am looking for information on deleting the pagefile from
my XP Professional machine prior to creating an image
file.  Today our image file is over 1.6GB, so deleting the

I want all my stored documents in a folder on physical
drive D.  Is there an easy way to do this, or should I
edit the registry to change every occurance
of "C:\Documents and Settings......." to "D:\Documents

XP was only in my old computer a few weeks before it died
completly (the computer, not xp, a cpu burnout).
I can't aford a new one now and plan to use my laptop
until next year.
